Smash and Trash: Pumpkin and Pop-up recycling event!  Bring in your Halloween pumpkin and give it a whack to help create compost for the Village Green gardens. While you are there, recycle all the other things you have been saving up, waiting for a recycling event to happen! We are also collecting Halloween candy wrappers. This "Smash and (Reduce) Trash event is at Village Green on November 4th, from 9am-11am.

Some things are free to recycle, others are a modest fee. Here is the list!

• ‘Styrofoam’ (Polystyrene foam*) - Free (Dart) (no packing peanuts)

• Textiles - Free (Flat Can)

• Electronics - Free (except monitors $30) (Junkluggers)

• Aerosols - $1 per can (Flat Can)

• Latex Paint (Flat Can)

• Sample - $0.50 per container

• Quart - $2 per container

• 1 Gallon -$5 per container

• 5 Gallon -$20 per container

• 1lb Propane Tanks $3 (Flat Can)

• Car Seats - $20 per seat (Flat Can)

• Household Batteries - $4 per pound (Flat Can)

• Candy wrappers from Halloween Bagged)- Free (Go Green)

*Coolers, cups, foam packing blocks, egg cartons, and clean plates and to-go containers are welcome. No packing peanuts
