Fourth film of 2026 Global Flicks series. From Bangladesh, we will travel to the Pacific nation of Kiribati to see Anote’s Ark. This documentary film centers around President Anote Tong and his efforts to save his nation (which is predicted to be submerged within decades due to climate change), his people, and 4,000 years of Kiribati culture. The post-film Q&A will be facilitated by COD Biology Professor Shamili Ajgaonkar. For the evening showing, we will also be joined by Ellen Nabeti who spent over two years in Kiribati as a Peace Corps Volunteer during Anote Tong’s presidency.
