Help us help EcoShip find a new home - donations kindly requested! 

You might know we're big fans of EcoShip - a Chicago-based non-profit dedicated to reducing waste by collecting gently used packaging materials and redistributing them to small businesses. We have partnered with EcoShip for several collections here in Glen Ellyn. They participated at the Village's most recent recycling extravaganza in April and collected an ENTIRE U-haul van of materials!  And founder Aleksandra has even come out to speak to students at Forest Glen Elementary and do a packaging collection with their One Earth Club.

All of this time, they have been operating out of a storage unit or a temporary retail space, while their business has been growing tremendously! Now, they need donations to help secure a new permanent space.  They will remain closed until they can secure enough funding to do so.

If you've ever dropped off materials with us or the Park District, brought them to the recycling extravaganza, wished there would be more companies increasing reuse, or want to help this organization increase their impact - we kindly ask you to consider a donation to our friends at EcoShip! We don't ask for financial donations often, but we really believe in their mission and want them to succeed. Jac has personally committed to matching all donations through July 19.
